Auf Augenhöhe, výstavní projekt Richarda Nikla a Marty Riniker-Radich, vznikl výlučně pro galerii Entrance. Tato instalace dvou umělců je sémantickou skládankou, zkresluje prostor a nabízí několik pohledů a různých výkladů podle toho, z jakého úhlu ji divák nahlíží. V kontextu instalace umělci nabízí specifický pohled na vybraná díla jejich tvorby. „Auf Augenhöhe“ je výraz, který odkazuje k různým pozadím, zkušenostem a vědomostem, které nám umožňují interpretovat to, co vidíme, zcela odlišnými způsoby.

Marta Riniker-Radich dokončila studium na HEAD (Haute École d´Arts Appliqués) v Ženevě v roce 2008 a v současné době působí ve Frankfurtu nad Mohanem a Curychu. V nedávné době byla její práce uvedena na samostatných výstavách v New Yorku (Swiss Institute, 2016), Curychu (Galerie Francesca Pia, 2019), Berlíně (Galerie Eclair, 2018) a ve Švýcarsku (Kunsthaus Glarus, 2018). Marta Riniker-Radich získala ocenění Manor Prize (2016) a Swiss Art Award (2010) a bylo jí uděleno několik grantů a rezidencí, například v Římě (Instituto Svizerro, 2016), v Londýně (Landis & Gyr, 2017) a v Berlíně (Canton of Geneva, 2018).

Richard Nikl zakončil studia na Städelschule ve Frankfurtu nad Mohanem v roce 2017. Svoji práci vystavoval v mezinárodním kontextu na samostatných i skupinových výstavách, například v Bruselu (Palais des Beaux-Arts Bozar), Frankfurtu nad Mohanem (Museum für Moderne Kunst), New Yorku (České centrum v NY), Praze (Národní galerie) a v Rize (KIM Contemporary Art Center). V roce 2013 byl navržen na kandidáta Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého, nejprestižnější ceny v českém současném umění udělované mladým umělcům do 35 let.

Výstava byla realizována s laskavým přispěním Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council.

Auf Augenhöhe is an exhibition project by Richard Nikl and Marta Riniker-Radich specially conceived for Entrance Gallery. The installation created by the two artists is a semantic puzzle which distorts the space and offers multiple outlooks and different readings of the exhibition depending on the spectator’s position. Within this environment, the artists offer a specific point of view on a selection of their works. Auf Augenhöhe, as an expression, hints at the different backgrounds, experiences and knowledge that allow us all to interpret what we see in radically different ways.

Marta Riniker-Radich graduated from the HEAD in Geneva in 2008 and is currently working in Frankfurt am Main and Zürich. Recent solo exhibitions include Swiss Institute, New York (2016), Galerie Francesca Pia, Zürich (2019), Eclair, Berlin (2018) and Kunsthaus Glarus (2018). Marta Riniker-Radich was the recipient of the Manor Prize in 2016, of the Swiss Art Award in 2010 and of various grants and residences, among which at the Swiss Institute in Rome (2016), Landis & Gyr residency in London (2017) and the Canton of Geneva residency in Berlin (2018).

Richard Nikl graduated from Städelschule Frankfurt in 2017. He has shown internationally and taken part in various group shows and solo shows in locations such as Palais des Beaux-Arts Bozar in Brussels, Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, Czech Center in New York, National Gallery in Prague and KIM Contemporary Art Center in Riga. In 2013, he was nominated for the Czech’s most prestigious contemporary art award, the Jindrich Chalupecky Prize.
